Yesterday we had a thrilling Australian Grand Prix from MotoGP, where Alex Rins came out on top as the seventh different winner of the season, shortly followed by Marc Marquez with an impressive ride to second place and Pecco Bagnaia secured third place and gained the lead in the championship; further aided by an unfortunate DNF from Fabio Quartararo. Along with Quartararo in the DNFs was his Yamaha teammate Franco Morbidelli, as well as Alex Marquez and Jack Miller, who was unfortunately taken out in his home Grand Prix; luckily both riders were ok. Rookie of the year also went to Marco Bezzecchi after the race, where he had a very impressive ride finishing fourth. After all this excitement of yesterday we have a particularly short album to review, Empires Fall the latest EP from Our Last Night.

Heres a track-by-track breakdown of the album, with each song being ranked from p.1 to p.7. *TRACKS ARE LISTED IN ALBUM ORDER*

Graveyard - p.2

Graveyard starts with vocals only before the instrumentals are in, they then proceed to build over the first verse. There is a mix of clean and unclean vocals throughout the song. There are a few sections, particularly after the chorus going into the post-chorus, where the instrumentals drop out then come back in sudden.

NO HELP - p.7

NO HELP starts with minimal instrumental and vocals as the instrumentals start to build up and mellow out over the first verse. Clean vocals are mixed with unclean vocals pretty evenly. Towards the end there is a dip in instrumentals before they build again.

Valley of Vision - p.1

The Vally of Vision starts with choir like sounds before lyrics and vocals are abruptly added in. Clean vocals and unclean vocals swap on and off over the song. Overall it has a nice immersive sound that captivates a listener, and ends on a heavier sound.

Uninstall - p.5

Uninstall starts with only vocals as instrumentals grow in the background before quickly mellowing out, before growing again. There is a lean towards clean vocals in this song, although there are some unclean vocals. On the flipside the instrumentals are on the heavier side with some parts softening down before building again.

Tea Leaves - p.3

Tea Leaves starts off the bat with heavy instrumentals before they soften as soft vocals come in. Both become suddenly heavier as they continue to build, the song follows a similar pattern of softening and building over its course. The instrumentals and vocals reach a climax before going into a breakdown towards the end.

F.E.A.R - p.4

F.E.A.R starts with soft instrumentals before vocals come in, as they fade out the instrumentals become quite heavy before softening again when the vocals come in again. The song continues to grow heavier towards the chorus and then soften as it begins before growing again afterwards. The song overall is quite fast paced and energetic with good sound.

Empires Fall - p.6

The title track of this album, Empires Fall, starts with soft instrumentals before the vocals come in. The song mixes unclean and clean vocals with heavy instrumentals that shift into softer instrumentals over the course of the song. Towards the end the instrumentals dip to a minimum with clean vocals over top, before it all builds again.
